Got their sweet potato pie and (who I assume is) the owner was really helpful and kind. The pie was delicious and while I didn’t have anything else, this feels like the kind of place where care is put into everything they offer. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Sooo, I don't like anything made with apple. However, on two occasions, I overheard folk placing orders for the apply turnovers. Third time was a charm, I ordered one for myself and to my surprise I loved it.. I'm a frequently flyer now lol... and all thanks to Ms. Cathy...
Yes! I've found what I been looking for! A bakery with real flavor! Puts me in mind of the old infamous Wimp's Bakery on 125th st in Harlem. Real southern desserts. I had the pineapple coconut cake, apple cobbler, and chocolate chip and walnut cookies. All were delectable. And, The hospitality was warm and welcoming. Couldn't ask for anything more! Looking forward to trying the sweet potato pie, pound cake, and bread and banana pudding. Will definitely return.

Great to see the bakery was still open. I had a request from my 96 year old mother in law for some bread pudding. In my mind there's only one place too go for the best bread pudding and that's Level One. Thank you she really enjoyed the bread pudding. Looking forward to seeing you again.
This place is amazing! My sweet tooth was calling me and google brought me to this place...turned out to be a gem. I met two people who I think were the owners and they were very nice and welcoming. There’s a wide variety of items but I really had my heart set on macadamia cookies (one didn’t make it into the photo). Everything was delicious! A huge surprise was the red velvet cookie (devoured on my drive home therefore not photographed), which came with chocolate chips and macadamia! Will be back soon!
Love the pound cake and chocolate chip cookies. Hands down the best banana pudding in Newark. You can only get it weekends and it runs out fast.
